Set Up Service Cost Categories

Service cost categories are set up in WennSoft Service. These categories are used to track sales and cost amounts for these user-definable cost categories.

Examples of cost categories:

  • Equipment

  • Labor

  • Material

  • Misc. Material

  • Subcontractor

  • Travel

  • User Defined

Creating Service Cost Categories

To set up the service cost categories:

  1. From Settings, select Service Cost Categories.

  2. The Service Cost Categories dashboard displays the following information:

    1. Cost Category Name: The name that was entered for the cost category.

    2. Created On: The date and time the cost category was created.

  3. Select New.

  4. Enter the Cost Category Name.

  5. Select Save or Save & Close to save the new record.

Edit a Cost Category

To edit a cost category:

  1. From Settings, select Service Cost Categories.

  2. Select the cost category to open the record.

  3. Update the cost category name.

  4. Select Save or Save & Close to save the edited record.

Delete a Cost Category

To edit a cost category:

  1. From Settings, select Service Cost Categories.

  2. Select the cost category to open the record.

  3. Select Delete.

  4. In the confirmation pop-up window, select Delete.
