Transferring Rental Agreement Lines
You can transfer equipment between agreements. For example, you can transfer between a rental agreement and a lease agreement. When transferring a line from an operating lease, the system will validate the number of non-zero credit weighting items with the number of units value in the destination rental agreement to determine if the line can be transferred. This process will only occur if the Operating Lease checkbox has been marked.
The following conditions apply before the line can be transferred:
- The equipment must be off rental.
- The meter reading must be populated. If the overage rate is $0.00, a meter reading is not required.
- All linked lines will transfer and must be off rental with a meter reading.
- A line that is linked to a parent line cannot be transferred separately. The parent line must be transferred.
The following conditions apply after the line is transferred:
- The originating agreement On Rental service call ID will be the service call ID on the destination agreement.
- The originating agreement Off Rental meter reading will be the destination On Rental meter reading.
- The line order may change with the transfer, so the line numbers and linked line numbers may change as well. For example, Line 1 on the originating agreement may be on Line 4 on the destination agreement.
