Setting up Units of Measure

The equipment unit of measure is the unit by which usage is measured, for example, hours or miles. The life unit of measure set up for an item of equipment can be used when creating operating logs and service records. Attachment usage can be tracked with equipment usage to which the attachment is attached, if both have the same life unit of measure.

1. Select Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Equipment > Equipment > Units of Measure.
2. Enter the Unit of Measure and Description.
3. Select Save.
