Creating Job Categories
Job categories describe and classify different kinds of jobs. Categories are used to direct costs to general ledger accounts and for reporting.
- Select Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Equipment > Transport > Job Categories.
- Enter a Job Category ID and Description.
- Select a general ledger account for Transport Costs. This is the account for cost of sale.
- Select a general ledger account for Internal Charges. This is the account for the inventory posting.
- Select Save.
