Price Lists

Use price lists to add products and services to service calls with appropriate pricing. For service call products and services that represent parts or labor billed to your customers, use price lists and price list items.

The price lists set up in WennSoft Service only apply to products added to service calls. When using price lists on sales orders in Business Central (BC), the price lists set up in BC are used.

Viewing the Price Lists Dashboard

The Price Lists dashboard displays the price lists that have been created in WennSoft Service. The columns displayed are:

Name
Currency
Start Date
End Date

To view the Price Lists dashboard:

In WennSoft Service, go to Settings.
In the Sales/Inventory section, select Price Lists.

Creating a Price List

Define basic properties of the price list.

In WennSoft Service, go to Settings.
In the Sales/Inventory section, select Price Lists.
Select New.
On the General tab, enter the following information:
- Name: A unique name to distinguish the price list.
- Start/End Date (optional): The effective date of the price list.
- Currency: The currency to use on the price list.
Select Save.

Adding Price List Items

Add existing products and services as price list items to the price list. Products and services are created in Business Central.

Open a price list.
On the Price List Items tab, select New Price List Item.
Choose a product or service in the Product field.
On the Pricing information tab, enter the following information:
- Pricing Method
  - Currency Amount: Use this to ignore a product's list price in the product catalog and to enter a different price manually for this price list.
  - Percent Markup - Current Cost: Use this to add a percent markup on top of the current cost of the product.
  - Percent Margin - Current Cost: Use this for the price offered in the price list to yield a percentage margin of the current cost of the product.
- Amount: The price of the product or service or the hourly rate for services.
Select Save.
