Dimensions

Dimensions are values that categorize entries so you can track and analyze them on documents, such as sales orders. We suggest that you create the following dimensions and their values in Business Central. You can create additional dimensions and values as needed. Dimensions are synced to WennSoft Service from Business Central.

COST CATEGORY
The cost category values are categories of costs and are used to group similar costs or cost codes.

  • EQUIPMENT

  • LABOR

  • MATERIAL

  • SUBCONTRACTOR

  • TRAVEL

DIVISION
You may have to manage multiple divisions in your company. A division could refer to a division, department, profit center, geo-center, or other designation. For example, you may operate both a service division and an installation division. By specifying a division, all revenue and expenses originating in WennSoft Service related to a specific service call are attributed to the GL accounts set up for the division.

Divisions are required fields on the:

  • Customer Account: The division added to the customer account will auto-populate on the service call.

  • Service Call

  • ADMIN

  • COMMERCIAL

  • INSTALLATION

  • RESIDENTIAL

  • SERVICE
