Assign General Ledger Accounts

After you have set up the dimension defaults, you must select debit and credit accounts to track sales and cost transactions made in WennSoft Service.

To assign the general ledger accounts to the service cost dimension accounts:

  1. From Settings, select Service Cost Dimension Accounts.

  2. The Service Cost Dimension Accounts dashboard displays the following information:

    • Name

    • Cost Dimension

    • Debit Account Number

    • Debit Account Name

    • Credit Account Number

    • Credit Account Name

    • Created On Date

  3. Select New.

  4. Complete the following:

    • Name: This read-only field will auto-populate from Business Central based on the Cost Dimension Value selected.

    • Cost Dimension Value: Select the cost dimension value. The Cost Dimension field lookup values are dependent on the dimension entered for Service Cost Dimension on the BC Integrations tab in Service Settings. See Set Up Default Dimensions.

    • Debit Account: Enter the general ledger debit account.

    • Credit Account: Enter the general ledger credit account.

  5. Select Save or Save & Close.
