Web Client Incompatibilities

Form/ProcessDescription

AWARM – Setup only

AWARM functionality works as expected in the Web Client, however, AWARM can only be set up in the Rich (desktop) Client.

Equipment Hierarchy windows

The hierarchy windows are .NET based winforms and cannot be used in the Web Client. These windows are hidden from the navigation in the Web Client.

SRS Deployment Wizard

Cannot be run in the web client. Users can run this externally or from the rich client in the Service Options setup window.

WIP Reconciler

WIP Reconciler is a Windows program and cannot be accessed from a URL.

Document attachments

Can only view attachments and add attachments if saved to the SQL database. The other options for saving are unavailable.

SmartList Designer

Unable to view or create Signature SmartLists using SmartList Designer in Web Client.

Payroll Transaction Entry (Alternate)

Signature fields do not display if you focus in the scrolling window before the window is expanded.

Workaround: Expand the scrolling window first and then focus within the window.

Purchase Order Entry

With the product indicator set to Job Cost:

  1. If the Cost Code field is empty and the user chooses the lookup but closes/cancels the lookup window without making a selection:
  • The focus is no longer in the Cost Code field.
  • When the user clicks back in the Cost Code field, the entire line clears out except for the Product Indicator field. The user must re-enter the entire line. The cost code field can be entered manually or by using the lookup window and selecting the appropriate code.
  1. If the Cost Code field is filled and the user chooses the lookup but closes/cancels the lookup window without making a selection:
  • The focus is no longer in the Cost Code field.
  • An error message displays that says “The selected record has been deleted by another user.”

Note: In the previous two examples, if the user does make a selection in the lookup window, the window works as expected.

Signature Transaction Entry
(alternate GL Transaction Entry)

With the product indicator set to Job Cost, when attempting to manually enter the cost code and/or account numbers, if you type too quickly the segments are not split appropriately. An example would be if the code is 22-222-2222, if typed too quickly, 22-2222.

Workaround: Typing slower allows the process to move focus to the next segment.

JOB COST & SERVICE MANAGEMENT
Payroll Transaction Entry

The Job Number or service fields do not show when the product indicator is selected and you try to enter a new line in the web client. The Job cost code does not display. 22518

Workaround: Expand rows before entering any transactions to jobs or service calls.

JOB COST
Job Transaction Entry and
Job Unit Entry

Choosing a cost code from the Cost Code lookup without first tabbing to or focusing in the Cost Code field causes the entire line to clear. 22572

Workaround: Select the Job Number with the lookup. Then tab to the cost Code field and either use the lookup or manually add the cost code.

JOB COST
Time Card Entry

If you clear the populated Employee ID field and tab to the next field, the employee ID re-populates in the field. The expected message “You must first enter an employee ID” does not display as it does in the Rich Client.

JOB COST
Job Status by Period

The window opens with a Progress dialog showing Processing "Period 4".  You cannot move to the actual window.  The state of the window is frozen. 22817

JOB COST
Build POC Entry

Manually entering the Period ID and tabbing does not run the automatic build process. 22591

Workaround: Use the lookup to select the Period ID to run the build process.

JOB COST
.NET Job Close

The Job Close window is a .NET based winform and cannot be used in the Web Client.
