Creating an Equipment Record

You can create an equipment record using the New Equipment Entry window. The new equipment ID will be created using the equipment numbering format designated during setup.

  1. Choose Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Utilities > Equipment > New Equipment Entry.

  2. Enter the Equipment Category.

  3. Enter the Model, Equipment Type, Equipment Branch, and Equipment Division.

  4. In the Equipment Numbering Type field, choose the format you want to use for the new equipment ID that is generated.

  5. Choose Create. A message displays asking if you are sure you want to create the equipment record.

  6. Choose Create. The system creates an equipment ID using the defined numbering system. The new record opens in the Equipment Manager window, where you can complete additional information.
