Remote Tunneling

The Remote Tunneling functionality allows TCP connections to BAS global controllers (Ex. Niagara Workstation or browser access to web API).

  1. In Connect, choose the Configuration Explorer icon.
  2. From the tree, choose Agents.
  3. Right-click on the agent name and choose Properties.
  4. Choose the Remote Tunnel tab.

  5. Mark Enable Remote Tunnel.
  6. Enter the IP address of the global controller.
  7. Enter the communication ports. For example, ports 4911 and 80 would give access for the secured Niagara Station via Fox Protocol 4911 and the standard http://127.0.0.1:80 from an internet browser. These ports could be used to hit a variety of TCP communications including the Niagara platform, utilizing unsecured port 5011, or utilizing a browser to access secured https://127.0.0.1:443 etc.
  8. Choose the Home icon, choose the Agent, and then choose Restart
  9. On the Home page, right-click on the agent name and choose Remote Tunneling.
  10. In the Remote Tunneling window, choose Start.
  11. Close the window.
