Installing and Upgrading MobileTech

Use these instructions if you are installing and setting up MobileTech for the first time. For system requirements information, see the Other system requirements.

After you install MobileTech Sync Server, MobileTech Integration Sync, and MobileTech Administration, you must set up application options and set up and grant access to users by using MobileTech Administration.

You will then install MobileTech Client on the various devices that are used by technicians.

Before upgrading MobileTech, we recommend that you make a backup copy of the web.config, MobileTechAdmin.exe.config, and XrmServer.SyncConsole.exe.config files if you have made changes to these files. After upgrading you can reinsert your changes.
