Assigning Status Codes to Events

Status codes should be assigned to each event in the Equipment Status Setup window.

  1. Choose Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Equipment > Equipment > Status Setup.

  2. For each event listed in the window, enter a status code. You can enter the same status code for several events. You only need to set up status codes for the events that correspond with the modules you have registered:

    Module

    Creation of a Purchase Order

    Status changes after a PO is created with the equipment.

    Purchasing

    Receiving of a Purchase Order

    Status changes after the shipping document is posted.

    After equipment is received on a PO, this status will remain until it is manually changed to indicate availability.


    Purchasing

    Sold on an Equipment Sales Invoice

    Status changes after the equipment is sold through SOP.

    Sales

    Available

    Indicates availability for rental - no other statuses apply.

    Advanced Rental

    On Rental

    Status changes when equipment on a rental agreement is marked as On Rental. Status changes back when equipment is marked as Off Rental.

    Advanced Rental

    On Transport

    Status changes when equipment is marked as Dispatched in Transport Delivery Maintenance. Once Delivered, the status changes back.

    Transport

    On Service

    Status changes when equipment is on a service call and the service call is in progress per the beginning time stamp. Status changes back after the ending time is stamped.
