Viewing Profitability Inquiries

The profitability information in Equipment Management can be analyzed either by profitability cost codes or by general ledger accounts. The Total Financial tab, Sales Financial tab, and Rental Financial tab in the Equipment Manager window also show cost category information for a piece of equipment.

Viewing profitability

1. Choose Inquiry > Equipment > Profitability By Code.

2. Complete the following fields:MDA Group IDThe available choices depend on the modules you are using and the setup options. You should have a group for equipment, rental, and scheduled maintenance if you are using the Advanced Rental and Scheduled Maintenance modules.MDA Code IDThe available choices depend on the MDA group.Date FromEnter the starting date.Date ToEnter the ending date.Account FromEnter the beginning account range. Entering ?-?-4110 will list all accounts with the final segment 4110. See About Account Masking.Account ToEnter the ending account range.Committed POsMark the checkbox to show committed purchase orders.UnpostedMark the checkbox to show unposted transactions.OpenMark the checkbox to show open transactions.HistoryMark the checkbox to show history transactions.

3. Choose Redisplay.

To view profitability by GL account:

1. Choose Inquiry > Equipment > Profitability By Account.

2. Complete the following fields:Account NumberChoose the account to be analyzed. This should be an account with MDA set up. Entering ????-4110 will list all accounts with the final segment number 4110.MDA Group IDThe available choices will depend on your profitability setup.Date FromEnter the starting date.Date ToEnter the ending date.MDA Code ID FromEnter the starting MDA code ID.MDA Code ID ToEnter the ending MDA code ID.Committed POsMark the checkbox to show committed purchase orders.UnpostedMark the checkbox to show unposted transactions.OpenMark the checkbox to show open transactions.HistoryMark the checkbox to show history transactions.

3. Choose Redisplay.
