Viewing Data

Before viewing information in this window, make sure that you have set up the Service Management section in the Equipment Branch Setup window. (Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Equipment > Equipment > Branch).

When Customer Center is opened, the user's branch will default in the window. The window initially opens without any data displayed. Cards > Signature Equipment > Customer Center

To view data by:

  • Branch
    Open the Customer Center window. The user's branch will default to the Branch field. The information displayed will be for the selected branch.
  • Customer
    Open the Customer Center window, and then enter or select a customer ID. The information displayed will be for the selected customer.

Viewing Equipment Data

In the Equipment section, the totals are displayed on the actual button. Select any of the buttons to open Equipment Inquiry, filtered to display the records based on the button chosen.

  • Total
    Displays the total of equipment on rental and leased.
  • Rent
    Displays the total number of equipment on rental.
  • Lease
    Displays the total number of leased equipment.
  • Tracking
    Displays the total number of rented and leased equipment where the equipment type is set to be included in tracking.
  • Pending
    Displays the total number of equipment that are in Rental Bookings or not On Rental on a rental agreement.
  • Reg. Due
    Displays the count of equipment with a registration expiration date within 30 days greater than the system date. The registration expiration date is set up in the equipment record.
  • Reg. Exp.
    Displays the count of equipment with a registration due date less than the system date. The registration expiration date is set up in the equipment record.
  • One Way
    Displays the total number of equipment on rental agreements where the equipment will be returned to a different branch.
  • Unavailable
    Displays the total number of equipment that are not on rental but on site. For example, the equipment could be damaged.

Viewing Service Call data

In the Service Call section of the window, the totals will display beneath the button label. Select any of the buttons to open Service Call Inquiry by Customer, filtered to display the records based on the button chosen.

  • Total
    Displays the total of service calls with a status of closed.
  • Open
    Displays the total of service calls with a status of open.
  • Review
    Displays the total of service calls with a reason code of reviewed.
  • Approved
    Displays the total of service calls with a reason code of approved.
  • Disputed
    Displays the total of service calls with a reason code of disputed.
  • Quote
    Displays the total of service calls with a status of closed, at least one quote, and no existing purchase orders.
  • P. Order
    Displays the total of service calls with a status of closed and at least one purchase order.
  • Unassigned
    Displays the total of service calls that do not have a technician assigned.
  • $
    Displays the total unbilled amount of service calls.

Viewing model rental inquiries

You can use the inquiry section at the bottom of the window to locate the equipment, provide availability information, and view pricing information. Additionally, you can access Rental Availability Inquiry to create new or add on to existing agreement/rental bookings or job agreement/rental bookings. To utilize the model rental inquiry, a customer must be selected. Additionally, the Availability section is enabled after the Model Search has been completed.

  • To populate the Model Search section:
    • Select the equipment type. If you wish to narrow the model search more, select additional criteria.
    • Select the Model Search right arrow button to open Rental Availability to select the equipment.
    • Select OK to populate the Model Search section with the selected equipment.
  • To populate the Availability section with the applicable price group for the equipment identified in the Model Search section:

    • Select the Availability down arrow. The Available column reflects all equipment available for rental. The Repair column reflects all on-hand equipment, but not in a rentable condition.
    • If you select the Availability right arrow, Rental Availability Inquiry will display. You can mark items to be rented and then automatically create the rental agreement. For more information, Creating a booking or agreement from inquiry.
  • To display pricing information in the Pricing section based on the customer's price level, select a price group from the Availability section.

Icons

The icons on the window reflect the icons that appear in Rental Insurance and Rental Information. Both windows can be accessed by going to Cards > Sales > Customer > Additional.
