Resolve Sync Issues

If you encounter issues when you sync a mobile device with the host system, you can review the issues by selecting Sync Errors. The Sync Errors option is displayed only if you have sync issues to resolve on your mobile device. If a sync error is caused by missing or incorrect data on the mobile device, you can resolve it using the details provided in the sync error information.

  1. Select Sync Errors to view a list of errors. Information about the errors includes the type of error and a brief description of the issue. It also indicates what happens with the record after it is successfully synced:

    • Create indicates that a new record will be created after the sync.

    • Update indicates that an existing record will be updated after the sync.

  2. Select the error row.

  3. Click More to see additional information about the error. Click OK to close the pop-up. Additional pop-ups may display with more information. Again, click OK to close each pop-up.

  4. Click Resolve to resolve the issue. In the Resolve pop-up window, select from the following:

    • Clear Error & Retry: Clears the error message and will sync again.

    • Clear Error & Ignore: Clears the error message and ignores the error.

    • Help - About sync errors: Opens to Resco’s web page regarding synchronization and errors.

    • Take Server Version: Clears the error and the server version of the issue/entity will be used.

    • Email: Opens an email that includes log information. You will need to add the recipient and then send the email.

    • Cancel: Closes the pop-up window with no resolution.

  5. After the issues have been resolved, sync your device again.
