Creating Maintenance Classes

A maintenance class is a group of maintenance types. You can use maintenance classes when assigning maintenance types to pieces of equipment when creating scheduled maintenance records for quicker setup. You could set up maintenance classes to coincide with your equipment models.

1. Select Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Equipment > Scheduled Maintenance > Maintenance Classes.
2. Enter a Maintenance Class ID and Description.
3. Select a Maintenance Type ID.
4. Use the printer button to print the Maintenance Class List report.
5. You use the Copy button in the Scheduled Maintenance Class Setup window to create a new maintenance class based on an existing one. In the Copy Maintenance Class window, enter a new maintenance class ID and description. Select Copy.
6. Select Save.
