A warehouse is a defined inventory location where products and their available quantities are tracked.
In FORGE, it may represent:

A physical warehouse or branch stockroom.

A technician’s service truck inventory.

The location from which inventory parts are issued or received.
Each warehouse belongs to a specific company and business unit. Products can have different quantities available in each warehouse.
Create a Warehouse in Business Central

In Business Central, search for Locations.

Open the Locations page.

Select New.
-
Complete the required fields:

Code: Unique warehouse code (for example,
MAIN,TRUCK1,ZONE-1) -
Name: Warehouse name

Address information
-
Any warehouse settings required by your organization

Select Inventory Posting Setup and enter the following information. (Review an existing warehouse to assess its setup.)

Inventory Posting Group Code: Select the inventory posting group code.

View All Accounts on Lookup: Mark this checkbox.

Inventory Account

Inventory Account (Interim)

Business Central auto-saves the setup.
If You Use Bins

Open the location you created.

Enable Bin Mandatory if you want inventory stored by bin.

Create bins from the Bins page and associate them with the location.
Make the Warehouse Available in FORGE
After creating the warehouse in Business Central, run the Product migration process in FORGE.

Go to Settings > General Settings.

Select the Business Central Data Migration tab.

Click Run Products.

Verify the location appears in FORGE warehouse selections, such as:

Purchase Orders

Inventory transactions

Mobile warehouse assignments
