FORGE

Submit a Timesheet

In FORGE Mobile, preview your timesheet, submit it for approval, and view its submission and approval history.

Before You Begin

Sign in with your own account and connect to the internet. Previewing, submitting, and viewing timesheet history require an internet connection. Your company must configure a timesheet report before you can preview it.

On phones and tablets, the actions below are in the Time toolbar overflow menu. On wider screens, Preview Report and Submit Timesheet appear directly on the toolbar; Timesheet History remains in the overflow menu.

Preview Your Timesheet Before Submitting

  1. Open the Time tab and select the pay period from the timesheet filter. Verify the period name and date range before proceeding. FORGE Mobile shows the two most recent pay periods; All timesheets lists only available periods.

  1. Select Preview Report. You may need to open the toolbar overflow menu depending on your device. The message Report preview requested confirms the report is being prepared.

  2. A preview is emailed only to you, the signed-in employee. It does not submit the timesheet, archive a report, or email your company’s configured report recipients.

  3. Open the report emailed to you and check the dates, work details, and hours. Make any permitted corrections in Time, then request a new preview if needed.

Submit Your Timesheet for Approval

  1. In FORGE Mobile, open the Time tab.

  2. Select the pay period you reviewed. Your timesheet must be Open or Rejected and available for submission.

  3. Select Submit Timesheet. You may need to open the toolbar overflow menu to see this option.

  4. At Add a submission note?, select Skip Note, or select Add Note to enter a note. If adding a note, enter information for the reviewer. If you choose Add Note, enter nonblank text to enable Continue, then select Continue.
The note is saved as Timesheet Submission Note only after the submission request succeeds. Cancelling or a failed submission does not save it.

  1. Read your company’s Timesheet Acknowledgement, then select Continue to Signature. If your company does not use an acknowledgement, the app goes directly to the signature screen.

  1. Sign the timesheet, if required. On Sign and Submit Timesheet, draw your signature in the pad. Select Clear to erase it and sign again.

  1. Select Submit for Approval and wait for the confirmation. The app submits any Open entries first. If an entry cannot be submitted, correct the reported issue before trying again.

When a timesheet report is configured, the final PDF is generated and archived before submission processing completes. It is then emailed to you and your company’s configured report recipients. Submission sends your time for approval; it does not approve it.

View Timesheet History and the Current Report

  1. In FORGE Mobile, open the Time tab.

  2. Open the toolbar overflow menu and select Timesheet History.

  3. The Timesheet History page shows:

    • Submission: Status, Submitted by, and Submitted on.

    • Approval: Approved by and Approved on. Details that have not been recorded display as not yet submitted, approved, or recorded.

    • Current Report: The report filename and generated date, when a report is available.

  4. Select View Current Timesheet Report to open the PDF in your device’s PDF viewer. If you see No current report is available., there is no current PDF to open.

  1. Select Back to return to the Time screen.

Timesheet History is read-only and shows the selected timesheet’s submission and approval details and current report. It does not provide a list of every earlier report version. Older pay periods are not available in the mobile filter; contact your office if you need an older timesheet.

If an Action Is Unavailable

  • Check your internet connection and select a specific pay period.

  • If no pay period is available, contact your office.

  • If preview generation reports a configuration error, ask your administrator to check the timesheet report setup.

  • If submission fails, follow the displayed message and resolve any entry issues before retrying.
